Mr. William B. Newnam is Vice President of CALIBRE’s Risk Management and Acquisition Support Domain, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. The domain is comprised of professionals with exchangeable skill sets who provide functional and technical knowledge with a particular focus on strategic planning and decision support.
Mr. Newnam has more than 29 years of experience and is an expert in the application of Lean Six Sigma, Systems Thinking, and other analytical and decision-support techniques to business process improvement. He has provided programmatic risk management, performance metrics, and program management analytical support for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s Safe Flight-21, Surface Technology Assessment and Global Communications and Navigation Surveillance System programs. He has provided business process reengineering (scheduling, capacity management, metrics, forecasting, and training) for major commercial customers.
As a result of his efforts, CALIBRE provides risk management solutions, business transformation, and analytical support management to the U.S. Department of Defense, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration; Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration; and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority that help our customers achieve better business performance.
Mr. Newnam joined CALIBRE in August 2001 after 5 years as a successful program and strategic planning manager for the U.S. Special Operations Forces Support Activity with Raytheon Company, Joint Operations Group, Lexington, KY and a 20-year U.S. Army career. He completed Advanced Civil Schooling under Army sponsorship and served as Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point.
He holds an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. from the United States Military Academy.
