Mr. Douglas R. Norton is an Alexandria-based Vice President, business development with CALIBRE. He plays a key role in CALIBRE’s strategic growth plan to expand its business development in the company’s market areas. Mr. Norton’s responsibilities include developing, directing, and maintaining competitive strategy, capture, and proposal operations and internal reviews with a particular focus on CALIBRE’s financial & cost management, logistics management, installation & land management, and information technology service offerings.
With government and commercial information technology services business expertise, Mr. Norton adds strength to CALIBRE’s strategic growth plans, which include diversification of its portfolio into non-defense agencies, state and local government, and commercial customers and enhancing our business development activities.
Mr. Norton joined CALIBRE in April 2008 after more than 32 years in the Federal Government and 9 years in the high-tech private sector. During his Federal service, Mr. Norton held senior positions in the U.S. Intelligence Community and in NASA.
Following his retirement, Mr. Norton worked as a business development leader for several high-technology companies with emphasis on Federal as well as State and Local government accounts.
Mr. Norton holds an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii and a B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
