Mr. Martore serves as CALIBRE’s President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He was elected to the Board of Directors in September 2009. He is responsible for setting and overseeing CALIBRE’s strategic direction, establishing corporate policies and procedures, and managing the overall business and financial performance of the company. Prior to assuming his current duties, Mr. Martore was CALIBRE’s Chief Operations Officer. Under his leadership, a number of initiatives were begun that expanded CALIBRE’s service offerings, customer base, and sales growth, which contributed to an increase in revenue of over 55% in three years. He continues to participate in contract-based work and, over the past decade, has served as a principal consultant to the U.S. Army in developing and implementing strategies for the Base Realignment and Closure program.
Mr. Martore joined CALIBRE in March 2004, as part of the acquisition of Strategic Management Initiatives, Inc. (SMI), which he co-founded in 1997 and served as President & CEO. SMI was named to the Inc. 500 List as one of America’s fastest growing private companies in both 2002 and 2003. Mr. Martore was also a Principal founder and President of Management Strategies, Inc., and was a Senior Vice President of the publicly traded Tenera Corporation, serving as the Chief Operating Officer of its Government Services subsidiary. Prior to these executive positions, he served at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He currently is a member of the MIT Engineering Systems Division Alumni Advisory Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the Laurel Grove School Association.
Mr. Martore received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
