Lieutenant General Scott, United States Army-Retired, is an investor and registered representative with HD Vest/Wells Fargo Investment Company where he specializes in financial planning for individuals and organizations.
During a 32-year career in the U.S. Army, he rose to the rank of Lieutenant General and commanded tactical units at all levels from platoon through division. He served five combat tours and received five awards for valor and two Purple Hearts for wounds received. General Scott commanded infantry and special operations forces and ended his military service as commander of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. As a senior officer, General Scott developed and executed programs and budgets for Army and joint major commands. He developed organizational and management models for the Army's special operations forces.
After retiring from the Army, General Scott accepted a position on the staff and faculty of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He directed the National Security Program for the School and taught in executive education and graduate school courses. General Scott specialized in the business management aspects of national security formulation. He retired from Harvard after five years on the faculty.
General Scott was elected to the CALIBRE Board of Directors in 1998.
