February 3, 2009   The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) Acquisition & Procurement Office awarded CALIBRE and four other firms a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Mission Support Services to the WHS, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and, potentially other Department of Defense offices supported by WHS Acquisition and Procurement Office (A&PO). The primary user of the BPA will be the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (OUSD(AT&L)).

This award is a five-year BPA with a total maximum value, if all options are exercised, of $100 million for all BPA’s. The award allows DoD to move from a single award vendor contract to a multiple-vendor BPA.

CALIBRE, as prime contractor for this effort, is joined by Maguire/Reeder (a wholly owned subsidiary of CALIBRE) and small businesses Ginia, Inc.; Spire Communications, Inc.; and The Peterson Group. For Task Orders issued under the BPA, the CALIBRE Team will compete with the four other BPA awardees to provide a broad range of non-personal, professional, and executive-level mission support services. Potential work includes information technology support; planning, preparation, execution and administrative support to executive committee meetings and conferences; policy development, interpretation, and implementation; public relations and outreach; and research and analysis of modeling and simulation topics to support OUSD AT&L offices.
