Joseph A. Martore
President & Chief Executive Officer

As President & Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Martore is responsible for setting and overseeing CALIBRE’s strategic direction, establishing corporate policy, and managing the overall business and financial performance of the company.  He was elected to the CALIBRE Board of Directors in September 2009.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Martore continues to participate in contract-based work, and serves as a principal consultant to the U.S. Army in developing and implementing strategies for the Base Realignment and Closure program.

Mr. Martore joined CALIBRE in March 2004, as part of its acquisition of Strategic Management Initiatives, Inc. (SMI), which he co-founded in 1997.  He served as President & Chief Executive Officer of SMI, which was named to the Inc. 500 List as one of America's fastest growing private companies in both 2002 and 2003.  Mr. Martore was also a Principal founder and President of Management Strategies, Inc., and served as a Senior Vice President of Tenera Corporation.  Prior to these executive positions, he served at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.  He currently also serves on the MIT Engineering Systems Division Alumni Advisory Council, and as a member of the Board of Directors for Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region and for the Laurel Grove School Association.

Mr. Martore received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from the George Washington University.
