CALIBRE provides a wide range of environmental technology services to our customers. Our services include environmental cleanup and remediation services, environmental litigation and expert witness support, environmental insurance support, environmental program planning, and regulatory compliance support.
Environmental Cleanup and Remediation Services
CALIBRE provides an array of services on remediation projects for federal, state, and industrial customers throughout the United States. CALIBRE has completed complex projects within specified schedule and budget, and has completed investigation and remediation projects dealing with a wide range of contaminants (volatile organic compounds (VOCs), metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), explosives and petroleum products) in the full suite of environmental media (e.g., soil, ground water, sediments, and surface water). CALIBRE is nationally-recognized for its work in streamlining remediation work to accelerate regulatory closure of sites.
Environmental Litigation and Expert Witness Support
CALIBRE provides environmental litigation and expert witness support services to the public and private sectors. We offer the ability to translate highly technical, scientific information into real and practical terms. We have the ability to interpret technical information to assist the attorney in providing the best legal advice and direction on pursuing or settling litigation issues associated with environmental restoration, hazardous and nuclear materials management, and natural resources damages. We have acted as experts in litigation for such issues as chemical exposure, solvents, PCBs, and petroleum products in the full suite of environmental media.
Environmental Insurance Support
Environmental insurance mechanisms have recently gained much visibility throughout the Federal Government and private commercial sector due to the general recognition that they provide options for limiting risk of cost increases for environmental cleanup efforts. In addition, environmental insurance provides assurances to regulators that sufficient funds will be available to complete cleanup requirements. CALIBRE has detailed knowledge of the environmental insurance market, including its issues, applications, and players.
Environmental Program Planning
CALIBRE applies its expertise in environmental regulations, policies, programs, project management, and cost accountability to develop integrated plans for managing environmental programs. CALIBRE applies proven project management techniques to support program reviews, develop strategies, conduct baseline and budget reviews, establish performance metrics and milestones, and develop and implement acquisition strategies for performance-based cleanups. CALIBRE also provides Environmental Coordinators offering programmatic and technical oversight of cleanup actions, and conducts assessments of environmental programs implementing tools such as Earned Value Management and critical path analysis to quickly identify program and/or project performance.
Regulatory Compliance Support
CALIBRE staff have a thorough understanding of environmental regulations (both federal and state), and provide support to customers in interpreting regulations, working with state and federal regulators to negotiate appropriate standards for given environmental conditions and reuse plans, and ensuring programs are in compliance with the local, state, and federal requirements. CALIBRE staff provide on-site compliance and permitting support in the areas of air, noise, surface water (watershed management), recycling, and materials management. CALIBRE conducts multimedia compliance audits and Environmental Management System (EMS) conformance reviews. In addition, CALIBRE assists customers in determining the impact of pending legislation on their programs at a national level, as well as on an installation or site-specific basis.
