CALIBRE Systems, Inc. Strengthens Growth Team, adds Sylvester Cotton as Vice President

Alexandria, Virginia, August 12, 2019 – CALIBRE Systems, Inc. (CALIBRE) announced the addition of Sylvester “Sly” Cotton, Vice President of Growth for the Defense market. In this position, Sly’s focus will be developing and maturing the core capabilities and market relationships of CALIBRE’s Management Consulting and Digital Transformation solutions. He will also be responsible for leading CALIBRE’s Department of Defense and Army growth expansion strategy with key focus in the Huntsville, AL and Augusta, GA regions that align to the company’s long-term, strategic vision. Prior to joining CALIBRE, Mr. Cotton held several leadership positions at large publicly traded GovCons where he supported Army customers such as CIO/G6, PEO EIS, PEO STRI, INSCOM, TRADOC, and the Combatant Command community. Leveraging his experience and relationships within industry and federal government, he has a strong track record of expanding business development portfolios and establishing strategic partnerships. Before entering industry, Sly was the Director, TRADOC Cyber Center of Excellence Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate and was directly responsible for all aspects of the transformation effort to transform Fort Gordon, GA from the Signal Center of Excellence (CoE) to the Cyber CoE. “We are delighted for Sly to join our leadership team,” says CALIBRE President and CEO Richard Pineda. “He brings expertise and relevancy in the Army, Combatant Commands, and regional markets, making him a solid addition as we continue to invest in our Growth Team.” Sly Cotton holds an M.A. in National Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and an M.S. in Computers/Information Systems Management from Webster University.
