CALIBRE Systems Recognized as a Vietnam War Commemorative Partner

Alexandria, Virginia, June 19, 2014 – CALIBRE Systems, Inc. (CALIBRE), a management consulting and technology services company, announced its participation in the Vietnam War Commemorative Partners Program. This Congressionally-chartered program focuses on thanking and honoring veterans and their families for the sacrifices they made during the Vietnam War.
LTG (Ret) Claude “Mick” Kicklighter, Director of the United States Vietnam War Commemoration, presented the official Vietnam War Commemoration flag and certificate to CALIBRE during a ceremony at the company’s headquarters. LTG (Ret) Thomas Carney, Chairman of CALIBRE’s Board of Directors, accepted the flag on behalf of all CALIBRE employees who served during the Vietnam War. General Carney thanked the veterans for their service and sacrifice to our country. An airborne- qualified Ranger, General Carney served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Included among the many awards he received for his Army service are two Distinguished Service Medals, three Legions of Merit, three Bronze Stars, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge for coming under fire in combat, and a combat jump star for making a parachute jump into combat.
“As we observe the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, we honor our Vietnam Veterans,” said LTG (Ret) Carney. “Forty-eight percent of CALIBRE employee-owners are veterans, of which 14 percent served during the Vietnam War. CALIBRE is proud of our commitment to veterans and honors those who have sacrificed so much for our nation.”
